do you need insurance for scooters
December 31st, 2006 by The Rider

what are the advantages of using a mobility scooter over a car?
with the credit crunch taking effect and stuff i need to cut costs
ive been looking to buy a mobility scooter, they travel at about 8-10mph and go about 20-30 miles on one full charge, theres no tax, no mot, and no insurance, and dont need to fill up with petrol. and dont even need a licence to drive it. they can be parked just about anywhere, with no parking charges.and are so versatile they can get into places cars wont fit.
would be ideal for local work.
they have headlights, indicators, horn, window wipers etc.
i can carry all my tools on board, and use a pair of telescopic ladders collapsed/hidden behind.
theres lots of young people using them now, because there so cheap to run, and you dont need to be disabled anymore.
what do you think? good idea or bad idea?
its also better for the enviroment, theres no exaust fumes.
ok, im not reading that but…
scooters cost less and are more fuel efficient
but they look pretty gay, especially if u dont live in city with a warm climate
