Are there any legal requirements for riding a moped in Texas?

such as insurance, a license, and what not?

In Texas you are required to have insurance but not a motorcycle endorsement for a moped 50cc or under. However you will still need a regular class c license and it will need to be registered and inspected. Anything over 50cc require a m endorsement on your license. Hope this help.
