What is the best transportation method for Vancouver, BC?

Hi I am thinking about moving from Arizona (110 degree weather in the summer) to Vancouver. I’m looking to keep my living costs (insurance, gas, maintenance, etc) at a minimum so I’m thinking about not bringing my car over. Would you say a scooter is a sufficient transportation method or would you say weather is not very forgiving of using just a scooter? Any extra advice is appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Welllll….. um if you don’t know, it kinda rains ALOT here, exept for in the summer. It can rain for like ages, and it’s all gloomy sometimes. In the winter, it’s all snow, this winter, in the more elevated areas, there was like 4 feet of it!!!! The recession hasn’t hit as much here as in the other provinces, so I think your living costs will be fine. If you don’t want to bring a car, I suggest transit. The bus system is excellent, and there’s also skytrain in most areas. It’s gonna be a big temp difference from Arizona, isn’t it!!! Lol! Well, good luck!
