scooter insurance in ontario
May 29th, 2009 by The Rider

Are there motorized vehicles that one can ride on the streets in Ontario without a license or insurance?
Any scooters or mopeds, for instance?
Not if it meets the definition of scooter or moped in the highway traffic act, but there are low speed vehicles that you may either avoid a licence or possibly insurance. Details are on the MTO site. Think “low speed” and there are some electrics that would qualify, but I think you will be aching for a scooter or motorcycle.
So you don;t ache in another way, remember the safety gear and learn your traffic laws and safety skills. You’ll need then on the road even if you do not have a licence.
