getting a motorcycle from Ohio. In KY how do I get everything transferd?
I know I need insurance. How do we legally transfer over the bike. Do we both have to go to the court house? If so which one. The one in ky or in Ohio? Do we need a notary when signing the title?
the person selling it to you should sign the title over to you. some states require it to be notorized. contact the courthouses in the 2 states you are dealing with, and they can tell you. if you are unsure, have it notorized, it wont hurt anything. then you take it to the court house in your state and file to get it transfered to your name. you contact your insurance agent to set up a motorcycle policy if you do not have one.

I live in Michigan I only ride my motorcycle during the spring and summer, which comes out to be about 6 months of the year. the rest of the time the bike is stored, with no riders. My question is can I get some sort of insurance where I’m covered for six months and the rest of the time it in storage it’s on a storage like insurance? I know you can in New Jersey because my friends have in however can you in Michigan? if so could you post a link or where you got this infor from so i can contact them further thank you
i’m sure you can…just contact your agent…probably the liability part will be ineffective during the winter
