What is better to buy a car or a motorcycle to do this? Would it be better to sleep in the car on your journey or go into the woods with your motorcycle and put up a tent? Also is it advisable to bring with you weapons such as a BB gun (that looks like a real gun), pepper spray and a knight stick for protection? You don’t need bullsh*t insurance for mexico and down right? And you don’t need any certain things if you tell em your only going for a day and then you can stay years?
what are you talking about???

What are the advantages and disadvantages of owning and driving a motorcycle in NYC?
Title pretty much sums it up. Are you a motorcycle driver in NYC?
I’ve been riding motorcycles clinging to my daddy’s back since I was 7 years old. He is now in his 60s and hasn’t picked it up in a good 10-15 years.
I don’t have kids here so I don’t have to worry about that, I live alone and don’t do much in the way of grocery shopping, and public transit is taking an hour in each direction. If you count going to work, (+1) going to school, (+1) and then going home (+1) that is 3 hours spent on mass transit everyday for literally a 15 minute drive in each direction.
So getting my very own crotch rocket is looking appealing, but I’m thinking where to park it? Whats the risk of vandalism? The cost of insurance? Would it even be worth it compared to the metrocard monthly costs of $81-$100?
Cons:
1. Storage
2. High risk of Theft
3. High risk of Vandalism
4. What will you do in bad weather?
5. Those cabbies are nuts (dangerous)
Pros:
1. Gas may be cheaper than metrocard
2. Quicker than public transportation
3. Parking won’t be difficult

Do you need a special license/tag/insurance to ride a scooter?
hello! i am a student at a university and all the students ride scooters here. i was wondering if i need a special license to ride one? and do i have to buy insurance for it? and also do i need a tag? and is there anything else that i need to do before riding one? i live in gainesville, florida.. GO GATORS
the scooter that i am planning to purchase will not go more than 40 miles per hour….
thanks!!
You don’t need a special license; your current driver’s license should cover it, as long as it’s under 50cc.
As for insurance, I don’t know about Florida law. I suggest you inquire at your local DMV or AAA.
